Legionaries of Christ
Mass requests that used to be retyped by hand now land in Salesforce on their own.
The Legionaries of Christ ran a growing Mass request program on manual processes and disconnected systems. Lava built a platform that connects donors, orders, and the database.

Every order started a chain of retyping.
LOC kept its donor records in Salesforce, but its online Mass request tool didn’t talk to it. Requests came in one at a time through a third-party system with no cart, no accounts, and no way to preview a card. Each order set off a chain of staff work: retype the details into Salesforce, assign the Mass to a priest by hand, write out the printed card.
Every step was a chance for an error or a duplicate, and the program was growing.
Built on how LOC actually works.
Lava started with questionnaires for donors and staff, so the system was built for how LOC actually works, then designed and built a branded WordPress site on WooCommerce.
- 01A shopping cart with multiple Mass types and personalized eCard options, for members and guests.
- 02A donor experience that works the same on desktop and phone, with optional accounts.
- 03A custom integration that syncs every online order and donor record to Salesforce automatically, no retyping.
- 04An eCard system with scheduled sending and delivery tracking.
- 05Bulk print fulfillment, so staff generate mail-ready Mass requests in one pass.
Donors, orders, and the database, finally connected.

The retyping is gone.
Online orders update Salesforce in real time. Cards that used to be written by hand print in bulk. Staff time that went to data entry goes to the program.
Internal workflow, turned into software.
This was internal workflow turned into software. Translating LOC’s fulfillment process into WordPress and WooCommerce, connecting it to their Salesforce instance, and serving donors and staff from the same system took more than a website.
Lava has proposed a priest-facing portal so staff can assign Masses across LOC’s locations and pay stipends without the manual steps.
